Parmigiani Fleurier Watch Reviews

Michel Parmigiani was born in Couvet (1950), a village not far from Fleurier where he would later establish his eponymous business. A highly talented watchmaker, he is famous for his expertise in restoring automata, clocks and watches. This has influenced the specification of the modern-day PF timepieces his company expertly crafts. Indeed, the materials, design and finishing are intended to confer longevity and facilitate restoration in 150 years’ time.

Parmigiani Fleurier was founded in 1996 with the support of the Sandoz Family Foundation. It went on to acquire existing companies as well as establishing new firms from scratch. It currently owns five companies making dials (Quadrant et Habillage), cases (Les Artisans Boîtiers), movements (Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier), assortiments (Atokalpa) and other parts such as pinions, pivots and screws, made using bar turning machines (Elwin).

In January 2021, Parmigiani Fleurier announced the appointment of Guido Terreni as its new CEO. Mr Terreni formerly worked at Bulgari Horlogerie, eventually assuming the role of President and Managing Director. He’s an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience. A few months after Terreni joined the company, the brand unveiled the inaugural Tonda PF collection. These timepieces blend refined styling with sublime mechanical movements. The brand’s products are designed to appeal to discerning souls and watch purists.
